Fundasaun Haburas Moris (FHM)

“Fundasaun Haburas Moris (FHM) which means ‘to develop life’, is a local NGO who fosters sustainable development at a grassroots level in the rural district of Bobonaro in Timor-Leste.

We believe the essential ingredients to rebuild our country are Love and Forgiveness.

Love can motivate us share our resources, skills and knowledge to develop a good life for our people. It helps us acknowledge everyone’s equality regardless of differences in culture, race, religion or gender.

Forgiving the wrongdoing of the war times, helps us let go of resentment and move forward as a nation.

The FHM Logo symbolizes the vision, mission and core values of the organization.

The Circle represents FHM’s first core value: the need for teamwork; for working together. It symbolizes the bringing together of rural communities and the need for us to work together to achieve our vision.

The Sunburst represents FHM’s mission: knowledge and skills development. It symbolizes the light of knowledge (through education, training and skills development) shining down on rural communities.

The Three Leaves represents FHM’s other core values: democracy, equality and respect. The new shoots symbolize the growth of these values within rural communities and the country.

FHM MANAGEMENT TEAM MEMBERS

Rince Nipu

Rince is the Director and Founder of FHM. She has a simple philosophy for success as a woman in today’s generation, “A quietly confident woman is a strong woman.”

Qualifications: Diploma in Tourism, Degree at Institute of Language in West Timor, Degree in Law at University Timor Leste, Certificate in Project Management through AusAID program on 2006, Certificate in Gender equality through IWDA in Melbourne Australia on 2013 and Certificate in Integrated Agriculture and Women’s Rural Development in Poturgal & Brazil on 2015.

Leopoldina dos Santos

Dina is a founding member of FHM. As the financial controller for the organization, Dina is responsible for all project budgets and financial reporting and a member of the FHM management team as well.

Qualifications: Senior High School Economics, Microcredit training through study tour in Darwin and Timor Leste. Certificate in Farm cooperation (saving & loan) through Yayasan Mitra Tani Mandiri(YMTM) in West Timor on 2014. Currently at Institute of Business, Maliana

Argentina Abu Code

Argen is one of the founding member of FHM and the Project Coordinator for good governance and gender equality at FHM.

Qualifications: 6 months agriculture training at OISCA in Maubara through JICA program on 2016. Certificate in Integrated Agriculture & famers Cooperative YMTM in West Timor on 2014 and Certificate in Community Development GTZ Timor Leste on 2011.

Bernardo Soares

Bernardo has been with FHM since its registration as an NGO on 2005. He is the business support and technical (IT support, Packaging) coordinator.

Qualifications: Law degree in West Timor; Degree Agriculture University Timor-Leste on 1999. Surveyor training, through CARE’s, CWSSP (Community Water Supply & Sanitation Program), Certificate in Integrated agriculture sustainability IDEP in Bali Indonesia on 2016 and Certificate in Integrated Agriculture and Rural Development through the Participation of Local Farmers cooperative system course in JICA, Japan on 2017.

Carlito da Gloria

Carilto has been with FHM since its registration as an NGO on 2005. He is the project coordinator for agriculture and environmental sustainability education.

Qualifications: BASET (Building Agribusiness Capacity in East Timor) programme on 2004, Eskola Teknika Agrikola, Moliana in Timor-Leste, Degree at Institute of Business in Maliana on 2008, Certificate in agriculture sustainability IDEP in Bali, Indonesia on 2016.

FHM PROJECT FACILITATORS

Lucia Perreira

Lucia joined FHM in 2009. She is the field officer for health and nutrition education. Lucia has a background in agriculture from high school in Moleana.

Qualifications: BASET (Building Agribusiness Capacity in East Timor) programme on 2004, Certificate in Businnes IADE in Timor-Leste.

Agrefina Dos Santos

Agrafina joined FHM in 2013. She has finished senior high school for her educational background, currently continuing her study in university. She has previously worked as a volunteer with her local church for saving and loan.

Abilio Do carmo

Arbilio joined FHM in 2009. He is the security and assistant logistics officer.

Manuel Da Costa Soares

Manuel joined FHM in 2017. He is the logistics officer and driver. He has previously worked as a logistics officer and driver for Word Vision Timor-Leste.

Juliana

Juliana has joined FHM in 2018. She’s the receptionist and work for cleanliness maintenance as well.
